What is the Communist Party, USA?
The Communist Party, USA (CPUSA) is a working class, Marxist-Leninist
political party. Our members come from all racial, ethnic, national,
and economic backgrounds. Our goal is a socialist society which will
insure the fullest extension of democracy throughout all spheres of
society. We believe that capitalism, a system which emphasizes profits
before people, cannot fulfill the needs of the vast numbers of people
throughout the world. Capitalism, in which the wealth generated by
society is held by a relatively few individuals, is responsible for
racism, sexism, unemployment, poverty, and war. The human dimensions
of issues are seldom, if ever, considered. The bottom line is
making a buck.
This means that the average person who works for
a living receives only a small fraction of the wealth they help to
produce, with no real say in determining their future. The Communist
Party believes in People Before Profits.
This is socialism.
